ELA Teacher Leader [email protected] Nathan Bishop Middle School 101 Sessions Street Providence, RI 02906 401.456.9344 X 1414 I make time each week to contact parents and guardians regarding students' successes and areas of need. Nonetheless, I am always eager to hear from caregivers. Since I am usually surrounded by 25 teenagers during the day, the best way to reach me is via email. I check my email at least twice a day; however, I still ask that you provide me with 24 hours to respond. If you prefer to speak on the phone, please leave me an email of the best number and time to reach you. If you do not have access to email, please do not hesitate to leave me a message on my voicemail or with Ms. Margaret and Alzira at the front desk. “‘A positive parent-teacher relationship helps your child feel good about school and be successful in school,' advises Diane Levin, Ph.D., professor of education at Wheelock College. 'It demonstrates to your child that he can trust his teacher, because you do. This positive relationship makes a child feel like the important people in his life are working together.' ” "Parent-Teacher Partnership." PBS. PBS, n.d. Web. 08 July 2014. |
